Edited by Mélanie Boucher and involving more than 35 contributors, this publication does not merely trace the event’s activities, it seeks to awaken the reader to a reality of diverses ramifications: today, the food we eat is of great concern to the general public and artists alike. Therefore, we have positioned the issue within the broad line of inquiry that constitutes the crux of Expression’s artistic orientation. On the one hand, we aim to reveal the value of present-day practices that engage the public, often with multi-sensory works that go beyond the visual to call upon other senses, other strategies. On the other hand, we strive to put forth proposals apt to help answer what we see as a fundamental question: Who are we as citizens of the twenty-first century ?
